Prentiss-PembertonPrentiss Pemberton, LCSW, works as an individual, family, and marital therapist in private practice at Counseling Solutions of Alaska. He received a bachelor’s in psychology from Flagler College in 1989 and earned his master’s in social work from the University of Alaska Anchorage (UAA) in 1999.

Throughout his more than two decades working in the field, he has served as a medical social worker for the rehabilitation unit at Alaska Regional Hospital, a clinical therapist at an adolescent residential treatment program, and spent ten years as a therapeutic foster parent for delinquent teens. He has also served as a crisis intervention specialist at a community mental health center.

Mr. Pemberton has a passion for working with teens and adults who suffer from anxiety, depression, and mood disorders. He believes in each individual’s right to self-determination and ability to change negative thinking and behavioral patterns. He has lived in Alaska for 18 years. He is married and has three daughters. When he is not working or spending time with his family he enjoys pursuing the outdoor activities that brought him to Alaska.
