KSKA: Friday, September 16 at 2:45pm RKP Productions (Dick Reichman, Audrey/Bruce Kelly and Bob Pond) will be presenting two one-act plays at Out North Contemporary Art House opening September 16 and running through September 25. The Phone written by Dick Reichman explores a relationship between a mother and daughter undermined by the onset of Alzheimer's (with a strong connection to the myth of Eurydice and Orpheus) while The Child Behind The Eyes by Nava Semel is a tour de force monodrama starring Nava Sarracino about a woman dealing with her son who has Down's Syndrome. KSKA: Friday, April 22 at 2:45pm History comes alive this weekend at APU's Grant Hall Theatre as Eire 1916: A Tale of Revolution comes to the stage. Inspired by the events of the so-called "Easter Rising" or "Easter Rebellion", which happened 100 years ago this month in Ireland, Eire 1916: A Tale of Revolution uses a mix of live actors, multi-media and music to tell its tale. Phillip Price, who did the lion's share of research for the project (and also appears in the play) joins Director Rodney Lamb and Actor Jodi Clark this week on Stage Talk. The team of Edgecombe and Ware are at it again. This time with two shows for one actor. David Edgecombe (playwright and director) has collaborated with Elizabeth Ware (playwright, actor) to create A Woman by Design, a play about Mary Elizabeth Jane Colter, the pioneer female architect who designed many of the destination structures around the Grand Canyon and is credited with helping develop the Southwest architectural style. And along with Red Hot Patriot, The Kick-ass Wit of Molly Ivins by Margaret Engel and Allison Engel, Ware brings to the stage two exciting and challenging roles.
