On Tuesday morning, Fairbanks International Airport Police Officers arrested 40-year-old Kevin Trask, who had been on the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement's most wanted list, and was evading police since 2012.
Trask was wanted for distributing child pornography. According to Immigration and Customs Enforcement, prior to his arrest in Fairbanks, he was last seen in San Diego. Police initially stopped Trask for a traffic violation and determined he provided them false identification. After investigating, officers determined he was a wanted fugitive.
Correction: An earlier version of this story said that Trask was apprehended on Monday, December 5. An updated press release from Fairbanks International Police Officers revealed that the date was actually Tuesday, December 6.
