Trimmed-down budget air carrier Jet Blue has entered the Alaska market and started a price war. The company is offering flights next spring and summer between Anchorage and Long Beach, south of Los Angeles, for as low as $274 if the tickets are bought by tomorrow. Those fares were being countered by reductions from Alaska Air and other carriers later in the day yesterday.
