Hunting Restrictions Placed on Antlerless Moose

Moose hunting season is underway, and for the first time in five years, the harvest of antlerless moose is being limited in Unit 20 A south of Fairbanks. The area has been targeted for population reducing measures. State Department of Fish and Game biologist Don Young says the state is reigning in a harvest in which as many as 800 cows and calves were taken during fall hunts on the Tanana Flats.
