Children from low-income families in Alaska will not be affected by new health care restrictions put in place by the Bush Administration over this past weekend. The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services limited family income for beneficiaries of state-run Children's Health Insurance (S-CHIP) programs at 250% of the poverty level. The Federal program reimburses 70% of medical costs to the states.Dave Donaldson, APRN - Juneau
