Kuskokwim community King harvest permit program underway
A community permit system for a limited Kuskokwim king salmon harvest begins on Wednesday. 32 communities are eligible for the permit and so far 16 communities are signed up and a few still pending for the 7,000-fish king salmon permit fishery.

North Pacific Council cuts bycatch caps; critics say it’s not enough

Mendenhall Glacier fees to go up in 2016
Starting next summer, the Mendenhall Glacier Visitor Center in Juneau will increase its entry fee and start charging for use of nearby trails and amenities. The U.S. Forest Service announced the change today after taking public comments on the proposal this winter.
