Alaska had some important visitors this week along with a few major announcements. Federal Energy Secretary Ernest Moniz and Senator Lisa Murkowski led an entourage of Washington, DC officials to Bethel and Oscarville to see firsthand the energy challenges faced by Alaska's rural residents. State Natural Resources Commissioner Mark Myers announced his retirement on Tuesday and on Wednesday, Governor Walker announced some important changes regarding the Alaska LNG line.
On this week's Alaska Edition we discuss energy in Alaska, where bush residents have not seen prices drop for gasoline or diesel fuel, even though gas is a little more than $2 a gallon in Anchorage.
