A pilot escaped injury after crashing her floatplane while trying to land at the seaplane base in Anchorage. Clint Johnson with the National Transportation Safety Board says the plane is owned and operated by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. Johnson says the plane crashed after losing control during touchdown. Anchorage Daily News reports that as of Sunday afternoon, the plane was underwater and surrounded by booms to try to contain the leaking oil.
