NTSB: Searchers described poor visibility around Misty Fjords fatal crash site

Responders described low cloud ceilings in Misty Fjords National Monument Wilderness in the hours after a fatal plane crash that killed six people. That’s according to a new report from federal investigators looking into the August 5 crash. But officials say they have yet to determine the cause of the crash.

Pentagon: US troops must get their COVID-19 vaccines ASAP

Military troops must immediately begin to get the COVID-19 vaccine, Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin said in a memo Wednesday, ordering service leaders to “impose ambitious timelines for implementation.”

He posted this photo on Facebook earlier in the day, describing it this way: "The picture here is the last conscious thing too many people have seen before their life ends as I stand over them, preparing to put them on a ventilator that they often never come off. We’ve been doing this everyday. Often many times a day. Recently, I’ve seen a rash of fathers in their 30s to 50s with no previous medical problems.
