Anchorage police are investigating the death of a man whose body was found Wednesday morning.
Police in a statement say the man was found just before 7 a.m. outside the Anchorage Community Mental Health Services building in East Anchorage.
The man had apparently been severely assaulted and was taken to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Police have not determined the nature of the assault but are investigating it as a homicide. No other details were immediately available.
