A Fort Wainwright Stryker Brigade soldier was killed by an improvised explosive device in Afghanistan Friday. He is identified as Private First Class Douglas Cordo, 20, of Kingston, New York. The explosion hit a mounted patrol in the village of Shah Joy, in Zabul Province.
