Assemblyman Bill Evans: The Exit Interview

After serving just one three-year term, Anchorage lawyer Bill Evans chose not to seek re-election to Anchorage’s Assembly. On April 4, with the election of several new members, Evans will step away from his public role.

Hometown Alaska invited Evans into the studio for an exit interview. We have questions. What did he learn from serving on the Assembly? What disappointed him about the experience, and what surprised him? Did he have the necessary skill sets going in? Was it worth the trouble? If so, why did he decide not to run again.

And importantly, what advice does he offer to new Assembly members. And what can he tell us—ordinary citizens of Anchorage—about the experience of stepping out to lead.

Join us for the conversation!
