Alaska Robotics, a Juneau based collective of filmmakers, released their second collection of short films in November and are kicking off an informal state tour with a screening at the Alaska Experience Theatre in Anchorage.

Wildfire near Dillingham grows to 1,000 acres
The Kenakuchuk Creek fire northeast of Okstukuk Lake likely started by lightning, and first reported by area pilots. State firefighting assets out of McGrath will monitor fire that is in a "limited protection zone."
International cooperation in the Arctic
Alaska's position as the only Arctic state amid U.S. chairmanship of the Arctic Council makes it an obvious destination for wide-ranging discussions. AK: Eagles Up Close
Each fall, thousands of bald eagles flock to a stretch of the Chilkat River about 20 miles north of Haines. The birds fly there for a late chum salmon run. It’s thought to be the largest gathering of eagles in the world. Dozens of people travel to witness the raptors each year, filling up almost every hotel room in Haines.
