Two south Anchorage schoolgirls are dead and the driver whose pickup jumped the curb and killed them late Friday faces homicide charges.
The driver, Stacey Allen Graham, 31, was seen speeding through the Seward Highway underpass on Dimond Boulevard, and went off the road where it curves.
Walking back home on the bike path from shopping for back-to-school supplies at the mall were Jordyn Durr and Brooke McPheters, both 15. They were both killed in the crash.
Graham’s pickup ended up on its side and he was injured and hospitalized. His blood alcohol was measured at three times the legal limit.
