The former owner of the Seward Phoenix Log newspaper has bought it back, along with another rural newspapers. Edgar Blatchford is also buying the Tundra Drums. The papers are being divested by the Calista Native corporation. Blatchford helped set up Calista’s Alaska Newspapers Incorporated subsidiary in the first place. Agreements have now been reached for the purchase of all of ANI’s publications.
