The Anchorage FBI told police Tuesday that a 16-year-old Homer teenager posted on TikTok that he was going to shoot up a school and be the “next serial killer.”

Kirby Calderwood, 32, is charged with nine felony counts including murder, kidnapping and sexual assault in Anesha "Duffy" Murnane's disappearance.

Staff at the center have rescued an emaciated harbor seal and a 4-month-old sea otter pup in late August and early September, respectively.

Both pups were brought to the Alaska SeaLife Center in June in rough shape – emaciated and dehydrated. Cobalt even had rocks in her stomach.

Homer only sees tides this low a few times a year.

Alaskans marched in four cities across the state Saturday to advocate for reproductive rights. The rallies came after the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision in late June overturning the landmark case Roe v. Wade and ending the constitutional right to an abortion.

Vets hope to release them back to the ocean soon.
