KSKA: Thurs., Aug. 3, at 2:00 p.m. Bill Hess is a photographer who has immersed himself in the Native cultures of the Arctic for decades, and came back with extraordinary images and stories. His book “The Gift of the Whale” is a classic on the subject of Inupiaq hunting. And he’s also a humble and funny person to talk with. We're revisiting this episode from winter of 2015. LISTEN HERE

This summer, an expedition of Russian adventurers arrived in Dillingham to retrace an historic route taken by Russian explorers in 1830, when Alaska was under the control of the Russian Empire. Listen now

KSKA Tuesday, Aug. 01 2017, at 2:00 p.m. This week we’re hearing from Ambassador Carlos García de Alba, the Consul General for Mexico in Los Angeles on “The New NAFTA: Mexico-US Relations & Trade in the Trump Era.” The ambassador shares his views on the relationship between the U.S. and Mexico. Since that tragic day, Iris has devoted her life to finding meaning from that loss through her career helping people recover from the devastation that suicide leaves behind. Please join Line One co-host Prentiss Pemberton and his guest, Atlanta based therapist and suicidologist, Iris Bolton for a conversation about hope and healing after suicide. LISTEN HERE

KSKA: Friday, July 28 at 2:45pm Founded in 1982, The Music Machine has been showing off the talents of young performers on the stage every year as they sing and dance to popular musical theatre and pop songs. And along with it's sister, Dance Machine, it's back again this year for it's 36th show with a cast of over 70. Co-founder and Director Janet Carr-Campbell brings along one of those talented performers Faith Clark to Stage Talk this week to talk about it.
