Celebrating 50 years of statehood, Cyrano’s 2009 season features five world premieres of all Alaskan plays written by Alaskan playwrights. Arlita Jones kicked off the statehood series at Cyrano’s with Make Good the Fires in March. She returns to Alaska Radio Reader Rambler this month with Shane Mitchell. Romance blossoms in his play, The Courtship of Zack and Ada about Alaska’s quest for statehood. The Courtship of Zack and Ada will be the fourth in the five part series of all Alaskan plays and it opens next weekend at Cyrano’s.
