AWAC Presents: Dr. Marc Massoud

Season 2 of AWAC Presents on KSKA kicks off with Dr. Marc Massoud speaking on Globalization: What it is and what it isn’t. Providing the basis for his discussion, he asks “What does it mean to be British?” Garnering no responses from the AWAC audience, he shares the insightful answer to the question originally posed by a British newspaper to its readers: “To be British is to…drive a German car, to the Irish pub, have a Belgian beer, stop for a Turkish kebab on your way home, sit on your Swedish furniture, and watch an American movie on your Japanese TV!

The Robert A. Day distinguished professor of accounting at Claremont McKenna College, Dr. Marc Massoud not only gives us a better understanding globalization, he defines the benefits and rewards, without losing site of the negative affects. Like his students at Claremont McKenna College and the ones he visited at Bartlett High School, Dr. Marc Massound challenges you to consider  globalization from a variety of perspectives.
