The survivor of a recent deadly boating accident near Tenakee Springs has died. Juneau police say 26-year-old Jim A. Brown Jr. was found unconscious and not breathing at a North Douglas Highway home just before midnight.

Juneau Brothers Die In Boating Accident Near Tenakee Springs

Two brothers from Juneau died in a boating accident Friday near Tenakee Springs. Alaska State Troopers Spokeswoman Megan Peters says 26-year-old Casey Newman and 23-year-old Kelly Newman went missing when their 18-foot Lund skiff capsized late Friday. Peters says Jim Brown, Jr., in his mid-20s, was also on the boat and was able to swim to shore.

Two Die In Separate Southcentral Boating Accidents

Two men died in separate boating accidents in Southcentral Alaska on Monday. According to State Trooper reports, at around 5 p.m. on Monday three men were boating up Twenty Mile River when the prop hit a log and the aluminum boat was pushed into a log jam.

Woman Drowns In Prince William Sound Boating Accident

A boat with five people aboard sank after hitting a rock in Prince William Sound Sounday. A man and three children were rescued by the Coast Guard but a woman drowned. She is identified as Cathleen Powell. The 32-foot craft hit the rock off Crafton Island outside Eshamy Lagoon.
