‘Most wanted’ child pornographer apprehended by Fairbanks Airport police

On Monday morning, Fairbanks International Airport Police Officers arrested 40-year-old Kevin Trask, who had been on the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement's most wanted list, and was evading police since 2012.

Anchorage teacher surprised with national award

An Anchorage teacher was surprised to learn today that he was the recipient of the Milken Educator award from the Milken Family Foundation. The Milken Family Foundation is a national group whose goals are improving education, public health, and medical research. The award is given to recognize teachers for their dedication to both their school and their communities. Listen Now

Anchorage man accused of kidnapping and sexually assaulting a minor

On Wednesday, an Anchorage grand jury charged 63-year-old Paul Allen Harris on one count of kidnapping, two counts of sexual abuse of a minor in the first degree and one count of sexual abuse of a minor in the second degree. Listen Now

Alaska to receive federal grant to process over 1000 untested sexual assault kits

Governor Bill Walker announced today that Alaska will be receiving just over a million dollars in grant funding from the U.S. Department of Justice to process over 1,000 sexual assault kits currently in possession of Alaska State Troopers. Listen Now
