The Alaska Zoo has provided a home for orphaned, injured and captive-born animals for more than four decades.  We are a 501(c)3 nonprofit dedicated to promoting the conservation of Arctic, sub-Arctic  and like climate species through education, research and community enrichment. We are proud to offer quality education programs and events for Alaskans and visitors.

Meet one of the newest resident at the Alaska Zoo... a Great Grey owl, received from the Wild Bird Rescue in Houston, Alaska. It had been hit by car. Stay tuned for more information about when it will go on public display. Click for more photos.

Three little black bear cubs are currently calling the Alaska Zoo home. The three siblings, one female and two males are approximately 6 months old and weigh about 15 pounds each. Click for photos.
