Troopers investigate double homicide near Wasilla

Alaska State Troopers have released the identities of two people found dead near Wasilla, are are investigating their deaths as a double homicide.

The deceased are identified as Crystal Denardi, 30, and Ben Gross, 43, both of Wasilla.

According to a Trooper dispatch, autopsies show they died as a result of gunshot wounds.

On Sunday, June 5, Troopers responded to a report of a possible shooting at an area residence.

When Troopers arrived, the home was on fire and the bodies of Denardi and Gross were discovered at the scene.

Next of kin have been notified.

A third person at the scene, who remains unnamed, was treated for injuries and released.

The Alaska Bureau of Investigation continues its investigation.
