Authorities are still searching for Aaron Fedolfi, the former Bethel police officer charged with attempted sexual assault and official misconduct.
The U.S. Marshals’ Fugitive Task Force has joined the list of authorities still searching for a former Bethel Police Officer currently on the run.
Aaron Fedolfi, 23, was recently charged with third degree attempted sexual assault by a police officer and third degree official misconduct.
Assistant attorney general Adam Alexander says finding Fedolfi is only a matter of time.
“Not only is he facing charges, but the department of law has issued an extraditable warrant which means we’re putting our money where our mouth is.”
The warrant allows authorities to arrest Fedolfi no matter what state he is in.
“This isn’t a question of whether he’ll be able to escape accountability, it’s only a matter of time before he’s arraigned on the warrant.”
Fedolfi began working for the police department in early 2013. After the complaint against him was filed, the department placed him on administrative leave. It was during this time that Fedolfi quit on Oct. 2.
The Attorney General’s office announced the charges last Thursday.
