The Richardson Highway is closed from milepost 185 (Paxson Lodge) to milepost 202 (Fielding Lake), according to the state’s transportation department. “Due to blowing, drifting snow there is no visibility and highways are impassable,” the department said in a release.
Barricades are being placed at mile 261 (Fort Greely gates) and traffic is not being permitted past that point.
