Early Saturday morning a man was found unconscious on the snowmachine trail that parallels the Parks Highway in Houston. Richard Schachle, 46, apparently was thrown into a utility pole when his snowmachine threw him. He died before they could get him to the hospital. Schackle was not wearing a helmet, and Troopers say alcohol may have been involved.
