Lawyers for U.S. Sen. Lisa Murkowski’s campaign want Alaska broadcasters to refuse a national Tea Party ad.
The campaign says the TV ad is “littered with lies and intentional mischaracterizations.”
Attorney Timothy McKeever, in a letter sent to broadcasters Monday, said stations are under a “legal and moral obligation” not to air it.
The Tea Party Express ad – also unveiled yesterday – is entitled “Arrogant Lisa Murkowski – You Lost!”
A Tea Party Express spokesman, Levi Russell, says the group stands behind the ad.
