SLIDESHOW: Family and friends gathered Tuesday morning at All Saints Episcopal Church to pay their last respects to Senator Ted Stevens.
Visitation began about 10 a.m. at the church nestled in downtown Anchorage.
Those who came to say goodbye to Stevens waited quietly along the side of the church until the doors of the church were opened.
Stevens was killed in a plane crash last week just north of Dillingham.
His services are Wednesday at the Anchorage Baptist Temple.
