British PetroleumBP has reported a spill of an undetermined amount of gas, oil and water from a flow line at Prudhoe Bay. The spill was detected Wednesday afternoon by an oil field worker making rounds.

UPDATE 20 Feb 2009: A local BP representative wrote in to correct our usage of the company name. While the historic name was “British Petroleum,” it was legally changed several years ago to just “BP.” Our usage of the older name was incorrect. We apologize for the error.
