At the Republican convention in Anchorage this morning, Lieutenant Governor Sean Parnell announced his intention to run for Alaska’s single U.S. House of Representatives seat, currently occupied by fellow Republican Don Young.
Young, when asked whether he knew in advance of Parnell’s intended candidacy, said he was unaware of the plan and was surprised at the convention.
