Senior Director of Finance 

The Senior Director of Finance (SDF) serves as principal finance and administration leader of a broad-based media organization that delivers television, radio, news, and web content. The SDF supervises the finance unit (Administrative Business Manager & the NETA Business Center finance staff) and is the chief financial liaison with the board of directors. The SDF reports directly to the Chief Operations Officer & Vice President of Administration, assists on all strategic and tactical matters as they relate to budget management, cost benefit analysis, forecasting needs, and the securing of new funding for Alaska Public Media.

In addition, the SDF will participate collaboratively with the COO and the CEO’s Chief Executive Assistant to promote administrative projects completion.

FM/Video Production Intern

The FM/Video Production Intern assists both the FM and Video Production teams with studio and field production, audio and video editing, analytics, and content inventory. This opportunity allows AKPM to teach the next generation of TV/Radio broadcasters by providing professional, hands-on training in these fields while the FM/Video Production Intern provides valuable, first-hand insight into the community that they’re a part of.

Education and Engagement Associate 

Alaska Public Media is partnering with the Jesuit Volunteer Corps Northwest Flex program to place a yearlong, stipend position in our Education Engagement department. This important role supports our out-of-school learning for Alaska’s youngest and often most vulnerable and their families. JV volunteers serve the local community and come from a variety of religious traditions – or don’t identify with a tradition at all. What does unite them is a commitment to the common good.
