Matanuska Susitna Borough leaders say they are disappointed in the recent action of the Alaska Board of Fisheries regarding Upper Cook Inlet salmon stocks. Earlier this year, the Borough had issued a resolution asking for state support for an increase in chum, sockeye and coho salmon in Valley river systems. But a slate of proposals aimed at putting teeth in that resolution failed to gain fish board approval.Ellen Lockyer, APRN - Anchorage
