Juneau Man Killed After Vehicle Slips Off Jack
A Juneau man is dead after his vehicle slipped off its jack while he was working on it Sunday afternoon. Joshua Beach, 31, was pinned under the car. Fire and Rescue responded, but life-saving measures were of no avail.
Coast Guard Suspends Search for Missing Container Ship Crew Member
The Coast Guard had no luck searching for a missing crew member from a cargo vessel in the Pacific Saturday. The Korean-flagged container carrier Mol Explorer out of Oakland reported a crew member missing Saturday afternoon.

Volunteers Hope to ID Most At Risk Homeless
Next week, volunteers will spread across Anchorage to survey and identify the most at-risk individuals of the city’s chronic homeless. The ultimate objective is to place as many of these vulnerable individuals as possible into housing before winter.

A charter tour boat with 11 aboard is reported grounded in Deep Cove, on the southeast side of Baranof Island. The 77-foot vessel "Northern Song" belongs to Alaska Sea Adventures, of Petersburg.
