Babies on Track Video Receives National Award

The Alaska company Affinityfilms, Inc. has won a prestigious Award of Merit from The Accolade Competition. The award, in the instructional/educational category, is for Babies on Track, a 14-minute DVD produced for Best Beginnings. Learn more.

“Babies on Track” Stimulating Child Brain Development

More than 160 premiere events are set to raise the curtain on Best Beginnings’ Babies on Track, a 14-minute DVD for parents. More than 80 villages, towns, and cities across Alaska took up the call to roll out the red carpet from February 25 through March 4. Best Beginnings produced Babies on Track to foster early learning and healthy brain development. Learn more.

Bring a Movie Premiere to Your Community

Best Beginnings is recruiting hosts for "100 Premieres" to be held Feb. 11-19, 2012. The 100 Premieres will be hosted all over Alaska to introduce Babies on Track, a 14-minute DVD for parents plus two companion baby board books: Our Alaska Family (baby faces) and Let’s Talk Alaska! (Alaska objects). Using delightful images of Alaska babies on location around the state, the video and books foster early learning and healthy brain development with everyday activities at home. Alaska Captures Dolly Parton’s Attention

Alaska is enrolling more and more children in Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, and none other than Parton, herself, has taken notice. When Alaska’s enrollment topped 13,000 children receiving Imagination Library books every month, Parton taped a video message congratulating and thanking Alaskans for making it happen.
