Ketchikan’s PeaceHealth Medical Center awarded $3.6 million grant

PeaceHealth Ketchikan Medical Center announced this week that it has been awarded a $3.6 million grant for the entire PeaceHealth system from the federal Department of Health and Human Services to help improve community health through changing clinical practices.

Survey scans for elodea spread in Interior, finds naught

A variety of agencies in the state are working to eradicate the invasive aquatic plant elodea. This summer, elodea was detected and treated in Anchorage’s Lake Hood, and a survey to search for elodea along the Tanana River downstream of Fairbanks has just concluded. Download Audio

Willow-area homes, cabins threatened by flooding
