Education and Economic Opportunities for Women: solutions to poverty and conflict in Pakistan
KSKA: Tuesday, April 12, at 2:00 p.m. Jodi has been working with MDF since 2009. She is a former educator, earned a Masters degree in International Development from the University of Denver. Jodi visits Pakistan periodically and loves to share/present the meaningful work they do. Jodi is currently a board member of Four Valleys Community School and working on publishing a book about their experience providing education and economic opportunities to vulnerable populations in Pakistan.

Athletic Injury Prevention and Avoidance
This week we have an important show for anyone who exercises to keep fit. We're talking about injury prevention and recovery. You can avoid a lot of the injuries that come from overuse and excessive effort, and we’ll tell you how to speed your recovery if you do get hurt. As with so many things, a lot of it is mental.

Arctic Entries: Talk to the Hand
Every community has a place, where people gather and stories are told. The East Coast has stoops, the South has porches, and in Alaska we have Arctic Entries. Here, Alaskans share their personal stories — funny, sad and sweet. Originally told at the Arctic Entries monthly storytelling event in Anchorage, listen to seven people tell a 7-minute-long true story related to the show’s theme. Turkey’s Role in the Shaping of a New Middle East
Dr. Sinan Ciddi is an expert on Turkish domestic politics and foreign policy. He obtained his Ph.D. from the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London in 2007 in the field of Political Science. Dr. Ciddi continues to author scholarly articles, opinion pieces and book chapters on contemporary Turkish politics and foreign policy, as well as participate in media appearances. In addition to his teaching and research responsibilities at Georgetown, Dr. Ciddi also serves as the Executive Director of the Institute of Turkish Studies. KSKA: Tuesday, March 8, at 2:00 p.m.

Anchorage Police Department: Road Closures for Iditarod Event
In preparation for the 2016 lditarod Sled Dog Races, the Municipality of Anchorage will be closing off several downtown streets for event set-up. In order to provide ample notice, 'No Parking' signs will be placed within the closure areas at least 48 hours in advance of the road closures. Anchorage Police Department officers will be on traffic control detail for the duration of these events and will be able to assist drivers with directional instructions.

AEDC Economic Forecast Luncheon
On January 27, AEDC President and CEO, Bill Popp, presented the 1-Year Economic Forecast for Anchorage and shared the results of the Anchorage Business Confidence Index.
