Former U.S. Senate candidate Joe Miller didn’t file to run for any elected office this year, but the Republican issued a statement last night that has the look of a campaign press release.
In it, Miller bashes Sen. Dan Sullivan for allegedly “betraying conservative values” by endorsing Sen. Lisa Murkowski, rather than candidate Dan Sullivan, the ex-Anchorage mayor. Miller ran against Murkowski in 2010 and against Sullivan in 2014.
A flag-motif logo of Miller’s name and web address tops the press release, which was emailed to reporters by former Miller campaign policy advisor Matt Johnson.
Ex-mayor Sullivan says he called Miller before filing to run against Murkowski in the Republican Primary.
