We are a trail community in Anchorage and across our region of Alaska. The variety and purposes for our trails is amazing. In town, we have the bike trails, which are also ski trails and transportation routes, and the single-track bike trails. In Chugach State Park there are hiking trails that are also used for cycling, horseback riding and many winter sports. On our next show we’re talking about trails, how they get built and maintained, and how we can keep our trails usable as state money for them goes away. Thankfully Alaskan’s have a long tradition of building and grooming our own trails and we’ll be talking about that self-reliant spirit in taking care of these trail assets that mean so much to the way we live.
