A martial arts teacher in Soldotna was indicted by a Kenai Grand Jury on Wednesday on one count of first-degree sexual abuse of a minor, one count
of second-degree sexual abuse of a minor and three counts of unlawful exploitation of a minor.
Michael Dean Hancock has operated Peninsula Martial Arts for over 17 years, for most of that time at the “Y” intersection in Soldotna, and last year
moving to a new location on Kalifornsky Beach Road. Hancock was arrested following indictments from a grand jury in Anchorage on Jan. 14 of six
counts of distribution of child pornography and seven counts of possession of child pornography.
He remains in custody. The Soldotna office of the Alaska Bureau of Investigations asks anyone who has any information regarding additional potential victims of Hancock to contact Investigator Vince Peronto at 907-260-2709.
