On Thursday, May 10th, 2012, Host Ira Glass and friends will perform an episode of This American Life on stage at NYU’s Skirball Center for the Performing Arts in NYC, and send it live* via satellite to more than 500 movie theaters across the country.
The show will feature popular contributors David Rakoff and Mike Birbiglia, music by the rock band OK Go, dance performance by Monica Bill Barnes & Company, original animation and short films, comedy by Tig Notaro, a story by Glynn Washington (host of NPR’s newest hit show Snap Judgment), and special surprise guests.
Public radio stations across the country have partnered with This American Life and Public Radio International to present local screenings. It’s radio like you’ve never seen it before!
