The Renda has been pumping fuel for about 24 hours now. Sitnasuak Board Chair Jason Evans estimates that about a half million gallons have flowed into the tanks as of this afternoon. Crews stopped the flow of gas last night around 2 a.m. after finishing a compartment of gas on the Renda. There were no serious issues, but they wanted to replace one 400-foot section of hose. They conducted more pressure testing this afternoon before starting back up on gas operations. Diesel has been flowing non-stop since that hose came online.
Evans says 24 watch of the lines continues.
