Proposal Awaits Public Comments on Performance Scholarship Requirements

The public has until Nov. 10 to comment on high school course requirements for Alaska students to be eligible for performance scholarships.

The state Board of Education is considering regulations that would take effect for the graduating class of 2015. The proposal calls for students to complete either math and science curriculum or social studies and language curriculum. The proposal would allow school districts to submit other courses for approval.
