KSKA: Thursday, 9/1 at 2:00 pm and 7:00 pm
FCC Chairman, Julius Genachowski joined Senator Begich in Dillingham last week for a ceremony celebrating TERRA-SW, a large project to bring high speed broadband internet to southwest Alaska. Upon returning to Anchorage, Genachowski spoke to a large group gathered for a Commonwealth North briefing held at the Dena’ina Center. In his talk entitled, “The Future of Telecommunications in Alaska,” Genachowski says the internet is a bright spot on the U.S. economy.
