Child Abuse Case Goes to Jury

An Anchorage jury now has the case against a woman accused of abusing her adopted son in an attempt to get on tabloid television. Jessica Beagley’s defense attorney says videotaping herself making the child put hot sauce in his mouth and putting him in a cold shower does not constitute abuse. It came out during the trial that the producers of the Doctor Phil Show actually rejected Beagley’s first attempt because it wasn’t graphic enough for their show on cable television.
