North Dakota State Senator Dies in Rollover North of Homer

A vehicle rollover accident north of Homer has taken the life of a prominent Republican state Senator from North Dakota.  Bob Stenehjem, 59, was riding back from halibut fishing yesterday afternoon when the accident occurred.  Hospitalized with a broken arm was his brother’s son Rob, of Alaska.  Uninjured was Rob’s son Daniel.  A fourth person was reportedly in the vehicle, said to be an SUV. Bob Stenehjem was majority leader of the North Dakota state Senate.  One of his brothers is Attorney General.
