When Mayor Dan Sullivan vetoed the equal rights protection ordinance in 2009, he said there was no evidence of discrimination against lesbians, gays, bisexuals and transgender people in Anchorage. Now five organizations are conducting a survey to collect data of such discrimination in the city.
