New Schedule: New Fridays

Our new schedule launches this week and each day we’re highlighting the changes and especially the new programs we’ve added. You can learn all about the new schedule in our update packet (PDF, 1MB) or read more here.

New Programs

  • Here & Now — 9:00 a.m.
This is an hour-long daily spin through not only all the big news stories, but the stories behind the stories and some of the less-crucial but equally intriguing things happening in the world. Host Robin Young brings over 25 years of eclectic broadcast experience to the show from the Discovery Channel, CBS, ABC, and NBC.
  • World Business News & Analysis— 1:00 p.m.
We’re boosting international coverage each weekday on KSKA. World Business News brings KSKA listeners regular updates and analysis of the big business news that affects consumers, the environment and global trade, plus the big talking points in the financial markets. Analysis examines one topic per day by BBC journalists. It gives thorough context for stories and issues in the news and uses experts and those with first-hand experience.
  • The Writer’s Almanac — 3:01 p.m.
Though KSKA has carried Almanac in the past, now it’s available 7 days a week at regular times. Tune in to hear Garrison Keillor recounting the highlights of this day in history and reading a short poem or two. Listen Mon-Fri just before the 3:00 p.m. Fresh Air.
